Kitchen appliances
When you’re fitting a new kitchen and have existing CDA kitchen appliances to house in it, is important that these fit in seamlessly with the environment around them. The best way to ensure that this happens is to take measurements and provide us with a wall plan and a floor plan. You need to be able to navigate your kitchen as easily as possible, and the less manoeuvring backwards and forwards the better. You’ll need to think about the positioning of your appliances carefully. The best kitchens are those that are planned with great efficiency in mind. Simplicity is key to planning a highly functional and pleasant, stress-free kitchen environment.
Smooth sense of harmony
One way to organise your kitchen appliances effectively is to keep related appliances close together. Your sink and dishwasher should be placed within close proximity to each other as these are two strongly-linked parts of a kitchen, plus many items need to be soaked in a sink to rid them of congealed food and suchlike before they enter the dishwasher. Similarly, you’ll benefit from keeping your washing machine and tumble dryer as close to each other as possible to ensure that traffic from the washer to the dryer flows freely. You’ll also want to keep these separate from cooking appliances, to make sure your kitchen is organised thematically, leading to smoother functionality and harmony.
Space and a minimum of clutter
Ovens should be placed next to, or as close as possible to worktops to ensure that hot trays can easily be removed from the oven and onto the work surface quickly. If kettles and toasters are frequently used then they need to be placed on a worktop area too, but preferably not on a work surface upon which food is prepared as this can lead to obstruction and ultimately, a cluttered feel. Kitchen appliances that aren’t used frequently are best kept in cupboards to keep clutter as invisible as possible and allow for a kitchen that is spacious and again, easy to work in.
Kitchen appliances arranged meticulously
If you’re installing a new kitchen and have the space available then installing units that allow for an abundance of items is a fantastic way of ensuring that even the busiest kitchens can be orderly ones, allowing for great navigation and functionality. Arranging your kitchen in terms of themes makes it easy to locate even kitchen items that you only use occasionally. When you order a kitchen from Better Kitchens, we are always on hand to advise you in terms of the best kitchen unit itinerary for your needs, and when you provide us with measurements and inform us of the appliances that will be stored in the kitchen we can work with you to help ensure that your purchase is not one you come to regret later.
