Mistral Worktop Product Details

25mm Thick Luxury Surface - MISTRAL worktops are made purely of solid surface material with no chipboard or MDF substrate, making it a true solid surface worktop. All manner of wonderful shapes can be achieved with MISTRAL as it Is not restricted by the requirement of end capping, or pre-fabricated modules for sink configurations.

Strong and Seamless Joints - With no substrate the solid surface glue joint is adhering two faces that are both completely solid surface which results in great joint strength. The joints themselves are inconspicuous providing an elegantly seamless finish throughout the whole surface.

Inspirational Colours - Using the inherent abilities of solid surface technology we have developed a colour palette to fuel the imagination of architects and designers alike.

Durable and Hygienic Surface - Solid surface material has many intrinsic qualities that the 25mm thickness of MISTRAL maximizes, not least its natural strength and durability. In addition the material is non-porous which eliminates any moisture ingress problems that can affect substrated worktops. Also the seamless jointing of MISTRAL means the worktops do not harbour bacteria.

Limitless Design Possibilities - Not only does the 25mm thickness of MISTRAL present the opportunity for elegant curves and imaginative shaping, it also allows for exciting surface detailing to be added. This includes drainer grooves to finish off sink edges as well as being able to create full sink wet areas by recessing whole sections of the worktop without fear of running out of solid surface material.

Easy to Maintain and Replenish - MISTRAL worktops are easy to care for and clean as part of your normal domestic routine. Over time any general wear and tear imperfections can be abraded away using our care and maintenance kit to leave your worktops looking as though they had just been installed.

Simplicity of Installation

MISTRAL worktops are supplied in lengths of up to 3010mm and with square-edges. The worktop length makes it ideal for designing and installing kitchens, ensuring that extra joints are not required to achieve lengths which are common in the kitchen worktop market. The square edges allow corner joints to be made by simply butting the worktops together, saving time by avoiding the necessity to router out for a mason's mitre joint and worktop bolts.

No Edging Process Required - When a MISTRAL worktop is cut the edge can simply he profiled and sanded to a finish.  When a worktop with a substrate is cut an open end is exposed, which needs an end cap to be glued to It. This is a time consuming process both in terms of labour required and adhesive curing time. These extra processes serve to increase overall installation time as well as the associated costs.

No Sink Modules Needed - The inherent strength of the 25rnm thick material means that sinks can he cut anywhere into the worktop without the need for prefabricated worktop modules.  These cut-outs can easily be performed during the on-site installation process and because of its extra thickness MISTRAL can even be used with Belfast sinks. This means that the design and ordering process is simplified yet flexibility is given to the installer to allow for any unforeseen circumstances.
